Care and usage
A premium real doll is a technical product: materials, cleaning, drying, and storage make the difference between a long-lasting purchase and a product damaged too soon.
How do you properly clean a real doll?
After each use, wash the relevant areas with lukewarm water and mild neutral soap. Avoid harsh detergents, alcohol, solvents, bleach, essential oils, or perfumed products. For internal cavities, use limited water, a gentle cleanser, and complete drying: the critical point is not washing, but avoiding residual moisture.
What is the difference between silicone, TPE, and S-TPE?
Silicone is more stable, less porous, more detailed, and generally requires less powdering. TPE is softer and more realistic to the touch, but needs more careful drying and maintenance. S-TPE is an improved TPE material designed for greater softness, stability, and resistance. You can read our materials guide.
Which lubricants can I use?
Use water-based lubricants only. Avoid silicone-based lubricants, oils, greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or non-specific products: they can alter the surface, especially on TPE and S-TPE. Even on silicone dolls, water-based lubricant is the safest universal choice.
How do I dry the doll correctly after cleaning?
Pat the exterior dry with a soft cloth and let it dry without direct heat. Internal cavities must be dried with particular care using suitable tools and natural airflow. Never store the doll while it is still damp.
How can I prevent stains and color transfer?
Avoid prolonged contact with denim, black fabrics, synthetic leather, colored latex, or unwashed new clothing. Soft materials can absorb pigments. Wash new clothing before use and prefer light or previously tested fabrics.
Do I need to use powder?
On TPE and S-TPE, talcum powder or a specific care powder helps keep the skin dry and velvety. On silicone, it is often unnecessary or needed much less. Do not use perfumed powders, harsh cosmetic powders, or unsuitable products.
How should I store it when not in use?
Store it in a natural position, without prolonged compression, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and abrasive surfaces. Avoid forced bends of hips, knees, elbows, and fingers: over time they can stress the material and internal skeleton.
How do I move it without damaging it?
Always support the body from the torso and pelvis. Do not lift the doll by arms, legs, head, hands, or feet. With heavier models, move slowly and avoid sudden twisting. If you need to move it often, consider lighter models or torsos.
Do hands, fingers, and feet need special care?
Yes. Fingers, hands, feet, nails, and fine-detail areas are more delicate. Do not pull fingers, force small joints, or place full weight on fragile details. Reinforced options help, but they do not make the product indestructible.
Can small damages be repaired?
Small cuts, scratches, or micro-tears can often be repaired with specific TPE or silicone kits. Do not improvise with generic glue. Before any repair, send photos or videos to support: we will suggest the safest method.
How long does a premium real doll last?
Lifespan depends on material, weight, frequency of use, cleaning, and storage. A well-cared-for doll can last for years; a doll stored damp, compressed, or dressed in dark fabrics can deteriorate much sooner.
What should I do if I have doubts after purchase?
Write to us with your order number and clear photos or videos. We will guide you on cleaning, storage, minor repairs, option management, and after-sale support. Before using chemicals or attempting repairs, always ask first.

What happens after I place an order?
After the order, we verify configuration, model, material, options, and delivery details. If something is unclear, we contact you before proceeding. The goal is to avoid mistakes before the order is confirmed, prepared, or sent into production.
How long does it take to receive a doll?
It depends on model, availability, material, customizations, manufacturer, courier, and destination country. In general: products already available in EU stock can arrive faster; made-to-order TPE and S-TPE models often require around 2–3 working weeks; many silicone or heavily customized dolls may require around 3–5 working weeks. These are indicative timeframes and are always confirmed as realistically as possible according to the chosen product.
Why are timings not the same for every product?
Because some dolls are in stock, some are prepared to order, and others require production, quality control, pre-shipping photos, and international transport. Material, options, season, and manufacturer workload can change real timing.
Will I receive real photos before shipping?
When the manufacturer or warehouse makes them available, yes: you can receive real photos of the ready product before shipment. This helps verify the model, general appearance, and configuration before the package leaves.
Is the package discreet? Can people tell what is inside?
No. Shipping is handled with neutral, reinforced packaging and no explicit references to the contents. The goal is to maximize privacy and discretion during transport and delivery.
Can I track the shipment?
Yes. When the package is handed to the courier, you receive tracking and can follow updates until delivery. On some international shipments, tracking may update in blocks during intermediate logistics steps.
Are there extra costs or customs fees?
For orders shipped from EU warehouses or EU internal logistics channels, there are generally no customs fees at delivery. For special cases, specific destinations, or extra services, predictable costs are communicated in advance. If you are unsure about a specific country, contact us before ordering.
Is shipping free?
When shipping is included or free, it is shown in the product or checkout commercial conditions. If a product requires supplements due to weight, destination, or special service, we communicate it as early as possible.

Real dolls are customized and hygiene-sensitive products. That is why it is important to clearly understand what can be modified, cancelled, or reported before and after shipment.
Can I return a real doll if I change my mind?
Generally no, unless a different legal obligation applies to the specific case. Real dolls, bodies, heads, and many related items are customized, made-to-order or prepared-to-order products, and belong to a hygiene-sensitive category. They are therefore not handled like a standard product returnable for a simple change of mind.
Does the right of withdrawal never apply?
The online right of withdrawal exists as a general rule for many distance purchases, but the law provides exceptions, including made-to-measure or clearly personalized goods and sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened after delivery. Each case depends on product type and order status.
Can I cancel or modify the order after payment?
Yes, but only if the order has not yet been confirmed to the manufacturer, prepared, or sent into production. Once confirmed, prepared, or produced according to the requested specifications, it can no longer be cancelled or modified for a simple change of mind.
Why should I decide carefully before ordering?
Because model, body, head, material, skin tone, options, accessories, and customizations can be directly linked to the production or preparation of the product. Once started, changing the configuration may no longer be possible. That is why we invite you to write before ordering if you have doubts.
What happens if I receive a damaged, wrong, or non-conforming product?
Contact us as soon as possible at sales@veneradolls.com with your order number, clear description, photos of the product, photos of the outer and inner packaging, and a photo of the shipping label if available. After verification, we can propose the appropriate solution.
Do I need to report damage within 48 hours?
For visible transport damage or clear delivery issues, we recommend contacting us within 48 hours, because photos and timely notice help manage the case with the courier, warehouse, or manufacturer. This does not cancel the legal guarantee: it helps make the process faster and better documented.
Are small differences from photos considered defects?
Not always. Many products are handmade or hand-finished. Slight variations in tone, makeup, texture, surface finish, aesthetic details, or visual result compared with promotional photos can fall within normal production tolerances. A truly wrong or non-conforming product is instead verified and handled.
Does the legal guarantee remain valid?
Yes. This information does not limit the consumer rights provided by law in case of lack of conformity. If a new good presents an applicable lack of conformity, the case is handled according to current law.
How are refunds issued?
If, after verification, a refund is approved, it is issued through the original payment method. Actual credit timing also depends on the bank, card network, or payment provider.
